About Me.

My name is Beining, I'm a Chinese graphic designer and photographer.

My design practice embraces a range of areas, including branding, typography, packaging, graphic design, and immersive technologies.

Now I am the co-founder of hunLAB, responsible for the graphic design in the exhibition. Our inaugural exhibition, CeramiXR, combined ceramics with VR and AR technology and attracted over 600 visitors from Sydney and beyond. I was also working as an assistant to VR artist Andrew Yip on the conceptual design of some interactive games for the Powerhouse Museum.

In 2019, I moved to Australia to pursue my studies, I graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design (2022) and a Postgraduate Degree in Simulation and Immersive Technologies (2023) from the University of New South Wales. Throughout my educational journey in Australia, I remained open to diverse design projects, but I always found myself gravitating towards artistic endeavors that evoked a sense of cultural pride. The invaluable experience of studying abroad exposed me to a cross-cultural environment, which significantly influenced me both personally and professionally. My time in this multicultural setting enhanced my cultural intelligence, enabling me to effectively navigate and communicate across various cultural barriers and differences.

I am now passionate about learning the stories of this land and committed to embarking on a new creative adventure.
